Work on Bandipora Hospital apace, Rs. 11.75 cr utilized: Taj Mohi-ud-Din

The construction work of District Hospital Complex, Bandipora has been taken up at an estimated cost of Rs. 24.32 crore against which Rs. 11.75 crore were utilized upto the end of last fiscal and Rs. 3 crore are being expended during current financial year on the construction of said hospital complex.This information was given by the Minister for Health & Medical Education, Taj Mohi-ud-Din in reply to a Calling Attention Notice by Mr. Nizam-ud-Din Bhat in Legislative Assembly today.The Minister informed that super structure upto 3rd floor of the hospital complex has been completed and finishing work in ground floor is in progress.

The Minister further informed that NTPAC Ajas and PHC Ashtengo are functioning in government buildings and provided all necessary health care facilities to the people of these areas.Giving details about the staff strength in these health institutions, Mr. Taj informed that out of sanctioned 84 posts of medicos and para-medicos in SDH Bandipora, 79 are in position. He said out of 18 sanctioned posts of PHC Ashtengo all are in position in the hospital and added that all 8 posts of medicos and para-medicos are also functioning in NTPAC Ajas.The Minister while giving the resume of works done, informed that 171668 Outdoor Patients, 10801 indoor patients have been treated in SDH Bandipora while as 1365 deliveries made in the hospital. He said the hospital is fully equipped with requisite diagnostic equipments.The Minister also informed that 8710 OPD patients, 667 Indoor patients were treated in Ajas and Ashtengo health centres besides 56 deliveries and 289 operations conducted in these institutions. He said these health centres are also equipped with diagnostic equipments.   (KNS)
