BJP committed to peace, prosperity, developments in JK: Dr Jitendra Singh

Said no discrimination on the basis of religion, language

Stating that the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is committed to peace, prosperity and development in Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office Thursday said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to win the hearts and minds of people of Jammu and Kashmir.Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) on the sidelines of the function here Dr Jitendra Singh said, “BJP is committed to peace, progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister wants peace, developments in Jammu and Kashmir. Our motive is never the politics of gain or loss, but winning the hearts of the people,” he said.Jitendra Singh further said, “The priority would be given to the State’s development and the party would not discriminate on the basis of caste, creed, language and religion.“We are very much committed for the progress and development of J&K. We want to fight poverty, hunger and unemployment her. 

I assure that the BJP don’t discriminate on the basis of caste, creed, language and religion and do not do politics on such issues,” he said.He further said: “I would like to give a message to the people here that the prime minister wants to win the minds and hearts of the people and is serious about the developments of the Jammu and Kashmir State,”.Earlier according to KNS correspondent, Dr Singh while addressing his party workers here hit Congress said that the Congress and other “so-called secular” parties were “creating” a fear that BJP was against the minorities in the country for its political benefits. “Unfortunately development and economic issues have never been the basis of politics here. As far as BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are concerned, a fear was being created that we are against minority. It is the political game plan of the Congress party and the so-called secular parties. The BJB was never against minorities,” he said. (KNS)
