Pharmacy College Bela, upholding its reputation as a pioneer in pharmacy education and its commitment to innovation-driven learning, organized an educational visit for its students to the Department of Telemedicine, PGI Chandigarh. The initiative aimed to provide budding pharmacologists with first-hand exposure to telemedicine applications in healthcare, education, and research.
The academic tour was coordinated by faculty members Mr. Devender Kumar and Ms. Medha Bhalla, who guided the students through PGI’s advanced digital healthcare infrastructure. During the visit, students observed how telemedicine bridges gaps between patients, clinicians, and researchers, offering innovative solutions for real-time healthcare delivery.
Dr. Shailesh Sharma, Director of the College, highlighted that the visit would help students connect classroom learning with real-world healthcare innovations, thereby enriching their academic and research orientation. He stated, “Telemedicine is not just the future—it is the present.
