Panchayat Minister holds meeting with department officials, issues necessary directions for preparations

Haryana’s Department of Development and Panchayats will organize the Sewa Pakhwada programme in all gram panchayats across the state. The programme will run from September 17 to October 2, 2025, with the aim of accelerating developmental activities at the village level and increasing public participation.
On Tuesday, Panchayat Minister Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar held a meeting with department officials at the Panchayat Bhawan in Chandigarh to review preparations. He also issued necessary directions to ensure the successful organization of the programme.
After the meeting, Sh. Panwar said that this programme is of great importance. Under it, various activities will be organized to further strengthen rural development. These will include tree plantation drives, cleaning of drains, installation and repair of solar lighting, cleaning of ponds, and other related activities.
He further said that under this programme, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Mission will receive greater momentum, while cleanliness and environmental protection in rural areas will be promoted. On this occasion, sarpanches of smart villages will also be honoured.
The Panchayat Minister added that this programme will prove to be an important initiative towards inclusive and sustainable rural development in Haryana. The meeting was attended by Sh. D.K. Behera, Director of Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. Rahul Narwal, Director of Rural Development, along with other officials and staff.
