Formation of PDP government is must to empower Jammu region: PDP

Calling upon the people to strengthen hands of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to ensure equitable and balanced development in Jammu and Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that Jammu region was properly empowered in all spheres of life during three year tenure of Mufti Sayeed.Addressing a function to welcome some prominent persons of ward number 40 and ward number 8 who joined the party today, PDP leaders said that only a statesman like Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has capability to change destiny of the people of the State. Chief Transport Officer (retired) Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Shiv Kumar Sharma and Sohan Lal along with hundreds of their supporters today joined PDP in the presence of senior leaders.

Welcoming new entrants in the party, PDP leaders said that empowerment of Jammu region would be ensured only after formation of PDP government in the State. They recalled that Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during his three tenure as Chief Minister has treated Jammu regional equally with other regions. PDP leaders further assured that party would come out with an exclusive vision document to solve all problems of the residents of Jammu city.

Expressing concern over prevailing chaos and anarchy in the administration, PDP leaders regretted that commoners were facing hardship due to governance deficit because administration has totally been collapsed in the State. “Residents of Jammu city are confronting with the problems of unprecedented power curtailments and severe shortage of potable water”, they said and regretted that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his cabinet colleagues have no time to address these problems.They said tenure of Omar Abdullah can be rightly described as “a period of total anarchy, failure and rampant corruption”.

They further said that Omar Abdullah government has proved as non performing liability on the people of Jammu and Kashmir. They added that tenure of Omar Abdullah have been about sheer survival, anarchy, mis-governance and political failures. “The worst impact of his miserable governance on the common masses, who have been bearing brunt of mis-governance in the state during the last nearly six years”, they said.

Calling upon the people to teach a lesson to this government, PDP leaders said that coming elections would be an appropriate opportunity before the masses to throw out this corrupt regime.

Rangil Singh, Trilok Singh Bajwa, Daman Bhasin, Shanti Devi and other office bearers of the party addressed the meeting. Ashutosh Kapoor, Kamal Sharma and Rajinder Kumar were also prominent persons who were present in the function.Later in a meeting of ward incharges of Jammu West Assembly segment organized by Dinesh Gupta, PDP leaders emphasized on the need of strengthening booth level committees in the  city.

Sardar Rangil Singh, Daman Bhasin, Hamid Choudhary, Jagjeet Singh Jagga, Dr Kamal Saini, Dr Roop Lal, Dinesh Gupta, R K Bali, Ashok Jogi, Surjeet Kour, Madan Aggarwal,  Puneet Jamwal,  Balbir Singh, Vikas Bhatti, Anju Bhan, Geeta Thakur,  and others also spoke in the meeting. (KNS)
