No Irregularities Would Be Tolerated In The Department: Surjit Kumar Jayani

Minister Orders Chargesheeting Of Absentee Health Staff Of Phc Shatrana

The Punjab Health Minister Surjit Kumar Jayani today ordered chargesheeting of 16 Health Officials including 3 Doctors who were found absent from the duty during the surprise check to the Primary Health Centre, Shatrana. Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that the Health Minister is regularly conducting surprise checks in the Government Hospitals and Health Centres under the Punjab Governments campaign to provide better health facilities and ensure punctuality of doctors and staff in all the institutions across the state. Recently Mr. Jayani Conducted a surprise check at Primary Health Centre Shatrana in the district Patiala.Health Minister reached the Primary health Centre Shatrana at 8.20 AM but found that only two sweepers were present on duty and no doctor or other staff came till 9.15 AM. Minister found that patients came in large number before staff and doctors were absent. 

Taking a serious note of this Health Minister has instructed the officials to chargesheet the absent doctors and other staff.Doctors and Staff found absent during the surprise visit by the Health minister include Medical Officer Dr. Rupali, Medical Officer Dr. Lilly Singla, Medical Officer (Dental) Dr. Davinder Shally, Pharmasist Gora Lal, Sanitary Inspector Harcharan Singh, Lab Technician Durga Das, Staff Nurse Sukhvinder kaur, ANM Kiran Kaur, ANM Harmit Kaur, Multipurpose Health Worker Darshan Singh, BEE Lakhwinder Singh and fourth class employees Rajkumari, Bholi, baljinder kaur, Varinder Kumar and Baljit Kaur.Health Minister Mr. Surjit Kumar Jayani has issued strict warning to the officials to ensure timely attendance and proper Health Facilities in all the Hospitals and subsidiary Health centres. Minister has instructed the senior officials to take strong action against such irregularities in the department.
