Haryana Govt Plans ₹218.92 Crore Project to Tackle Masani Barrage Contamination: Shruti Choudhry

Haryana Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Smt. Shruti Choudhry informed during the Question Hour of the Monsoon Session of the Vidhan Sabha that the government has prepared a long-term and permanent solution to remove chemically contaminated water from the Masani Barrage. She was responding to a question raised by Rewari MLA Laxman Singh Yadav regarding the Masani Barrage.
She stated that a project titled “Water Conservation and Re-use of Accumulated Water” has been prepared at an estimated cost of Rs 218.92 crore. Under this scheme, a water body will be created in the Masani Barrage and the developed irrigation capacity will be reused. She added that the implementation of this project will begin as soon as funds are received.
