British Laureate School celebrated National Space Day with enthusiasm and creativity, marking India’s remarkable achievements in space exploration. The day commemorates the historic success of the Chandrayaan-3 Mission in 2023, when Vikram Lander made a soft landing on the lunar surface and deployed the Pragyan Rover.
With this achievement, India became the fourth nation to land on the moon and the first to reach the southern polar region. School Principal Ms. Bhawna Sharma said that the feat brought immense pride to every Indian and ignited dreams for future space missions.
She added that the school’s celebrations aimed to inspire young learners with the same spirit of innovation and scientific curiosity. A special assembly was held where students delivered speeches on topics such as India’s Journey from Earth to Moon and other allied themes.
Their words reflected not only pride in India’s achievements but also aspirations for the country’s future in space science. To further engage the students, a Poster Making Competition was organised for Grades 1 and 2, and a Rocket Making Competition for Grades 3 to 5, where participants designed and built creative models.
Teachers also set up a Gallery Walk featuring working rocket models, giving students an exciting glimpse into space technology. The young learners participated with great enthusiasm, gaining knowledge about India’s advancements in space while fostering creativity, innovation, and national pride.
