Dr. Owais Ahmed celebrates 79th Independence Day at Srinagar

Directorate of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) commemorated the 79th Independence Day celebrations here today. On the occasion, Director, FCS&CA, Dr. Owais Ahmed hoisted the National flag at the Directorate office here.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director said that this remarkable day makes us to remember the countless sacrifices of our great martyrs and freedom fighters who paved way for the freedom of our great nation. 

The Director also highlighted various achievements of the department on the occasion including, introduction of  SMART-PDS and various other developmental initiatives. He reiterated that the  department is committed to  ensure  food security  for  all the beneficiaries.

Joint Director, Shaheena Khan, Deputy Director, Mohammad Rafeeq  Bhat and other senior officers and  employees also  participated in the Flag-hoisting ceremony.
