DC Rajouri Abhishek Sharma reviews preparations for Janmashtami celebrations

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting to review and finalise arrangements for the upcoming Janmashtami celebrations across the district. The Deputy Commissioner directed the PHE Department to ensure adequate water supply through tankers at designated locations. 

The Medical Department was instructed to deploy ambulances and sufficient medical staff for prompt response during the festivities. He also called for a special cleanliness drive along the jhanki routes to maintain hygiene for participants and devotees.

The Executive Officer Municipality and the PDD authorities were asked to check and ensure proper functioning of street lights, particularly along the event routes. The DySP Traffic was directed to regulate vehicular movement and designate proper parking spaces to avoid congestion. 

The Fire and Emergency Department will deploy fire tenders at strategic points for quick response in case of emergencies. The Deputy Commissioner emphasised inter-departmental coordination to ensure the celebrations are conducted in a safe and smooth manner. 

He appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration and follow advisories issued during the event. SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar, ADC Chander Prakash, ACP Sheraz Chouhan, Executive Engineer PHE Sudesh Kumar, CMO Dr Manohar Lal Rana, CEO Iqbal Hussain, AD FCS&CA Rohit Kumar, DySP Traffic Shiv Kumar, Tehsildar Headquarters, EO Municipality Yusaf-ul-Umar, AEE PDD and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting. Representatives from the civil society were also present.
