Taj inaugurates Lift Irrigation scheme at Azadpora Uri

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Taj Mohi--ud-din today inaugurated Lift Irrigation scheme at Azadpora Boniyar Uri. The Project has been constructed by Mechanical and Irrigation Department (MID), Baramulla and would meet the growing need of irrigation water in the area.Among others, District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, officers of district administration, besides the officials of the line Departments were also present on the occasion.Earlier, the Minister inaugurated Heath Camp at Zamur Pattan Uri, organized by Health Department. The patients were provided free Health check-up and diagnostic facilities during the camp. A huge excitement was seen among the people who attended the Health Camp. The problems and diseases related to Blood pressure, Blood Sugar, Haemoglobin, TLC,DLC, Mocroalbum were checked-out and the patients were given free medicines.The Minister also addressed a public meeting at Azadpora Uri. He highlighted the efforts of the Government for timely execution of developmental projects being carried out in the area. (KNS)
