Haryana Cooperation, Jails, Elections, Heritage, and Tourism Minister, Dr. Arvind Sharma, said that the newly launched ‘Swasthya Siddhi’ initiative will be a major step forward in healthcare and will help revive India’s age-old traditions of natural and Ayurvedic medicine.He said that the Haryana government is taking significant steps to promote Ayurveda and traditional healing practices.
Dr. Sharma was speaking as the Chief Guest at the foundation-laying ceremony of the Baba Sumer Nath Research and Wellness Centre at the Baba Naina Nath Dera in Mohana, Sonipat. The centre is being set up by the Shiva Group of Institutions and Charitable Trust.
He said this wellness centre, launched under the ‘Swasthya Siddhi’ initiative, will benefit the people of the region and become a significant development in the field of health.He said Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi launched the Ayushman Bharat scheme, under which even the poorest can now get free treatment in reputed hospitals.
Building on this, the Haryana government introduced the Chirayu Yojana, which extends the same benefits to even more people. Under this scheme, families with an annual income of up to Rs.1.8 lakh can now receive free medical treatment worth up to Rs.5 lakh.
Dr. Sharma further said that the double-engine government in Haryana is fully committed to uplifting the underprivileged. Whether it's providing free ration, housing, or healthcare, the goal is to ensure that every poor person can live a life of dignity.
