The Union Minister for Food Processing Industry, Harsimrat Kaur Badal today appreciated and specially thanked the Union Minister for Railways Shri D.V. Sadananda Gowda for his pro-active efforts regarding construction of New Rail Line between Raman Mandi and SaddaSinghwala via Talwandi Sabo.The Union Railways Minister has written a letter to Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal and has informed her that Final Location Survey regarding the New Rail Line from Maur – Talwandi Sabo to Raman has already been taken up and the Location Survey shall be completed within next five months and Land Acquisition will be processed thereafter.In a press release issued here today, Terming it an stark contrast between the UPA government functioning and that of the NDA governments’ functioning, Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal said that for the last 10 years our appeals for introducing a Shatabdi train between Delhi and Bathinda fell into their deaf ears along with all other demands, despite a sizable representation of Punjab in the Union Cabinet, Punjab was being neglected.She said that Today, the difference is that NDA government is taking care of Punjab and taking all steps to end this apartheid that UPA regime has done to Punjab. A number of announcements regarding Punjab have been made in the Railway Budget and also General Budget that makes it amply clear that ‘apartheid’ with Punjab has ended.
