India calls off talks: Invitation to separatists futile: Engineer Rasheed

The Awami Itehad Front (AIF) chairman and MLA Langate, Er Abdul Rashid on Monday termed the invitation to Kashmiri separatists by Pakistan envoy as ‘futile and time waste’ even as India cancelled talks with Pakistan.“What do they (separatists) do there except sipping tea. There is nothing new about Pak envoy’s invitation to separatists” he said, adding: “Both countries from past 67 years have been exchanging blames. India in particular has never shown sincerity,” he said.On cancellation of talks, he said: “It was expected that the BJP-led government would succumb to the pressure of RSS. The decision shows their egoistic nature towards resolving Kashmir.” (GNS)
