Tree Plantation Drive Organized at Govt. Polytechnic, Khuni Majra, Kharar — "A Meaningful Step Towards a Green Punjab"

A grand tree plantation drive was organized under the banner of Environmental Protection Activity at Govt Polytechnic, Khuni Majra, Kharar, Mohali. The objective of this campaign was to create a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment, ensuring a better life for future generations.

During the drive, over 150 different types of plants, including several medicinal species, were planted. Local residents and volunteers participated enthusiastically and worked alongside the Environmental Protection Activity team to make the event a success.

The program was conducted under the leadership of District Coordinator Mr. Amit Kalia, with active participation from renowned environmentalists Dr. Pradeep Sharma, Dr. Ajay Gandhi, Mr. Brijmohan Joshi, Mr Bachcha Singh, Dr. Jitendra Narayan, Kamalpreet Singh and other team members.

The Environmental Protection Activity team expressed special gratitude to Mr. Nitin Chauhan Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited, Mohali, for ensuring the availability of plants and their significant contribution to the Green Punjab Mission. Special thanks to the Management and Principle Govt Poltechnic Mr. Mange Singh, Smt. Raksha Kiran, Dr Ravinder Kumar, Sh Avinish.

Local residents appreciated the initiative and expressed a desire for similar tree plantation drives to be organized in the future as well. This campaign proved that when society comes together, impactful results can be achieved in the direction of environmental conservation.
