MP Kirron Kher today flagged off  special train to Sri Patna Sahib, birth place of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, from Chandigarh carrying 1700 passengers on five-day pilgrimage.MP Kirron Kher congratulated the organizers for holding event, which is a great service to society.An initiative of Chandigarh-based organization Mata Tripta Charitable Trust, suffices the demand of people who do not have direct train to Sri Patna Sahib and instead board train from Delhi.The chief organizer of event Artinderjit Singh said that the event is a dream come true for several hundred of aspiring pilgrims including the aged and underprivileged who have been longing to visit the sacred shrine but could not because of lack of such convenient arrangement earlier.

The pilgrims include around fifty needy people and children from whom no charges have been taken. He added that arrangements have been made to ensure availability of routine provisions en-route the 21 hours journey like preparation and distribution of langar, medical aid, hygiene and other essentials round the clock for comfort of passengers.Pilgrims inlcude people from tricity, New Delhi and other cities of India as well as overseas like USA, Australia and Canada too.
