A massive Unity Candle Light March was organized under the leadership of renowned social activists Gurpratap Padiala (Sports Promoter and General Secretary, Punjab Kisan Congress) and MP Jassar (General Secretary, Punjab Youth and Sports Clubs Cell - PPCC, and Punjab State Chairman, Youth Policy and Research Department).

This heinous act has shaken the soul of the entire country,” he remarked. Padiala further asserted that mere talks of strict action are not enough; the Central Government must ensure that the terrorists and their handlers meet the same fate as they inflicted upon innocent civilians and tourists. That alone would be true justice.

Jassar directly addressed the BJP-led Central Government, stating, “Enough of statements and speeches — now is the time for decisive and concrete action.” He demanded that the government clearly outline what strict measures have been taken or will be taken against the perpetrators and their supporters to ensure such cowardly acts are never repeated in the future.
Jassar also highlighted that Jammu & Kashmir has always been a symbol of brotherhood, love, and shared cultural heritage, and such terror attempts to divide the country will never be tolerated. “We will never allow a handful of terror elements and their backers to disrupt the peace and unity of our nation,” he added. He reminded the Prime Minister that ensuring the safety and security of the people of this nation is your direct responsibility.
