In protest against the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Anti-Terrorist Front India, led by its National President Viresh Shandilya, held a powerful demonstration at Kalka Chowk, Ambala City. During the protest, activists set fire to the Pakistani national flag and raised slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai.” All members of the Front held Indian national flags in their hands.
Prominent ATFI members such as J&K in-charge Surender Pal KK, Punjab in-charge Manish Pasi, Ashok Kakkar, Sanjeev Victor, Ravi Kumar, Rajan Dhingra, Mahendra Dhiman, Jaswinder Jassi, Gaurav Sharma, Bharat Seth, Gurdev Singh, Sachin Kumar, Narendra Narula, Kamal Gulati, Manu, Deepak Nataraj, Sanjay Luthra, Robin Dhiman, and Ravi Sethi were present.
Significantly, members of the Anjuman Islahul Muslimeen Society, including its President Syed Ahmad Khan, Qari Uzair, Imam of Madina Masjid, Imam of Lakhi Shah Masjid, and Mohammad Suhail, also participated in the protest, joining in burning the Pakistani flag. They demanded surgical strikes on Pakistan and called on Prime Minister Modi to hoist the Indian national flag in Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore, under the leadership of Shandilya.
Calling the attack cowardly, Shandilya said Pakistan continues to challenge India’s peace and sovereignty. He demanded that Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist and mastermind of the Pahalgam attack, Saifullah Khalid, along with Hafiz Saeed, be hunted down and killed inside Pakistan.
In a letter sent to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Shandilya expressed his willingness to go to Kashmir and directly fight the terrorists, stating that his very birth was meant to combat terrorism. “Give me duty,” he said, “and I will go to Pahalgam to challenge the terrorists head-on.”
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, he added that now, terrorists are not only targeting security forces but also innocent civilians and tourists, which is deeply concerning. Shandilya urged both the central and J&K governments to provide Rs. 1 crore in compensation and a government job to each martyr’s family, and Rs. 50 lakh for the critically injured.
He also appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare Pakistan a terrorist nation and sever all trade ties with it. “Terrorists who shoot innocent tourists after asking their names must be wiped off the face of the earth,” he said. “The time has come to enter their homes and eliminate them.”During the protest, tributes were paid to the martyred tourists, and a nationwide public movement against Pakistan was announced.
Shandilya said that demonstrations will soon be held in every district against Pakistan. He will also be present in Karnal on Thursday to attend the funeral of martyred Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, and plans to meet the families of the deceased tourists across the country.Shandilya also declared that the Anti-Terrorist Front India will soon submit a memorandum to J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, demanding imposition of President’s Rule in Jammu & Kashmir.
Taking a hardline stance, Shandilya said,“Terrorists caught alive should be doused with kerosene and burned alive. Those killed in encounters should not be buried — instead, their bodies should be publicly burned with kerosene, to serve as a lesson for generations to come. Such brutal attacks can no longer be tolerated.”
