Laljit Singh Bhullar Inaugurates ₹2.86 Cr School Projects in Patti

Punjab Cabinet Minister S. Laljit Singh Bhullar today inaugurated development projects worth around Rs.2.86 crore at various government schools in the Patti Assembly constituency. While addressing the gathering after inaugurating the projects, the Cabinet Minister said that Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government is implementing development projects in government schools with grants worth crores and sending government teachers abroad for training so that they can provide world-class quality education to students in government schools and help them keep pace with global standards.

He informed that as part of the Punjab Sikhya Kranti initiative, the Mann government has undertaken development projects in all primary, middle, high and senior secondary schools to strengthen the quality of education in government schools.

The inaugurated projects included Rs.14.24 lakh at Government Elementary School Burj Rai Ka, Rs.16.51 lakh at Government Elementary School (Girls) Sarhali Kalan, Rs.22.42 lakh at Government Senior Secondary School Sarhali Kalan, Rs.22.03 lakh at Government Elementary School (Boys) Sarhali Kalan, Rs.31.78 lakh at Government Elementary School Kandiala, Rs.43.77 lakh at Government Elementary and High School and Anganwadi Center Sarhli Mandan, Rs.36.80 lakh at Government High School Kairon, Rs.56.91 lakh at Government Elementary School Bahmaniwala and Rs.41.57 lakh at Government Senior Secondary School Bahmaniwala.

S. Bhullar said that the state government is transforming all government schools across Punjab. He added that students in government schools are being identified for their talents and encouraged to pursue education according to their interests so they can become capable of participating in competitive examinations after completing their 12th grade.

The Cabinet Minister said that the state government is continuously enhancing basic facilities in government schools to raise educational standards. He said that government schools have now become much more impressive than before, teacher shortages have been addressed and efforts have been made to provide students with world-class education.

The event was attended by Chairman Dilbagh Singh, District Education Officer Elementary Jagwinder Singh, Deputy District Education Officer Paramjit Singh, District Coordinator Anoop Maini, Media In-charge Avtar Singh Dhillon, Social Media In-charge Mohit Arora, Sarpanch Amandeep Singh Shah, Manpreet Singh Manna, Billa Joshan, Sarpanch Gurpratap Singh, Sarpanch Pinder Singh, Sarpanch Rajwinder Kaur, Sandeep Singh Sohal, Malkit Singh Mallu, Dr. Jugraj Singh, Sarpanch Sukhdev Singh, Sarpanch Gurpreet Singh, Sarpanch Tarsem Singh and Sukhwinder Singh Sarpanch, along with various school heads, teachers, village residents and parents of children.
