MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai dedicates development works worth Rs 47 Lakhs at Government Schools of constituency

Addressing a series of school inauguration events today, local MLA Advocate Lakhbir Singh Rai strongly criticized the performance of previous governments in the education sector. Speaking at Government Senior Secondary School Chanarathal Kalan, Government Primary School Chanarthal Kalan, Government High School Chanarthal Khurd, and Government High School Suhagheri—where developmental works worth approximately ₹47 lakh were inaugurated.

MLA Rai stated that past administrations failed the people by neglecting government schools and hospitals while promoting private institutions, which became unaffordable for the common people.MLA Rai said that under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is committed to revitalizing government schools and health institutions. 

“This government has prioritized the development of these sectors, ensuring that students from government schools are excelling in every field,” he added. He emphasized that the "Punjab Sikhya Kranti" campaign aims to strengthen the foundational infrastructure of government schools and provide them with top-class facilities. 

"By offering education on advanced lines, we are preparing students to face future challenges and succeed in competitive exams after completing their higher secondary education," he said. Highlighting the achievements of the government, Rai mentioned that over 54,000 youth have been provided with government jobs based purely on merit, setting a new benchmark in public sector employment. 

He also underlined the government's ongoing mission to eliminate corruption from public departments, which is yielding meaningful results.On the occasion, several outstanding students were specially honored for their academic performance.

Prominent attendees included District Education Officer (Secondary) Sushil Nath, Deputy DEO (Secondary) Didar Singh Mangat, and local leaders such as Sarpanch Rajdeep Raju, Manpreet Tiwana, Kulveer Tiwana, Raju Sarpanch, Nazar Singh, Major Singh, Gursewak Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Gurmeet Singh Suhagheri, Satpal Sarpanch Khare, Laddi Khare, Gurmel Pandrali, Gurpreet Singh Bhindar, Mandeep Pola, Karamjeet Singh Jogi, Gurdeep Singh Lala, Kuldeep Singh, Amrik Singh, Master Santokh Singh, and Harmesh Chhanna.
