Vinesh Phogat to be asked for options to avail benefits equivalent to a Silver Medal under Sports Policy

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh Nayab Singh Saini, said that the Cabinet has decided to offer Haryana's daughter, Vinesh Phogat, the option to receive benefits equivalent to those of a silver medal under the state's sports policy. He said that the state's sports policy offers three types of benefits: a cash prize of Rs. 4 crore, an OSP job under Group 'A', and the allotment of an HSVP plot.
The Chief Minister was addressing a press conference after presiding over the meeting of the State Cabinet here today. He said that Vinesh Phogat had raised this issue in the Vidhan Sabha. In today’s Cabinet meeting, considering the matter, Vinesh Phogat has been treated as a special case and considered for grant of benefits under the scheme.
Since Vinesh Phogat is now an MLA, the Cabinet has decided to seek options from her that which benefits she wishes to avail. The Chief Minister stated that Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the Paris Olympics through a procedural decision.
Given the circumstances at the time, he had tweeted that he would not allow the honor of Haryana's pride, Vinesh Phogat, to be lessened. In reply to another question, the Chief Minister mentioned that a group of farmers from Punjab, including 15-20 Sarpanches, most of whom were young, had come to meet him.
The farmers invited him to participate in several programs.The Chief Minister stated that the youth and farmers of Punjab have expressed faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies. The people of Punjab are disillusioned with both Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and are now moving toward supporting the BJP.
Farmers in Punjab see Sh Narendra Modi as their role model, and people across the country are impressed by his policies. Over the past 10 years, Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has elevated India's standing on the global stage.
He added that while he respects all former Prime Ministers, the direction set by Sh. Narendra Modi is unparalleled. Under his leadership, the country is rapidly advancing toward self-reliance. On being asked about the arrangements for wheat procurement, the Chief Minister stated that he had held a meeting with officers yesterday and given necessary instructions.
Full preparations have been made by the concerned departments, and the arrival of 75 lakh metric tonnes of wheat is expected. He added that instructions have been given to officers to ensure that farmers do not face any difficulties in the lifting of crops, gunny bags, or any other related tasks at the mandis.
He also emphasized that, in today's age of modern machinery, the arrival of crops reaches the mandis promptly, and officials have been instructed to make the necessary arrangements to ensure smooth operations. Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, MLA Satpal Jamba, Director General of the Information, Public Relations, and Languages Department Sh K. Makarand Pandurang, and Media Secretary Praveen Atreya were also present on this occasion.
