Govt. can consider setting up a grain market in Kund village if panchayat provides land: Shyam Singh Rana

Haryana Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana assured that if the Panchayat of village Kund in Bawal Assembly Constituency provides land, then setting up a grain market there can be considered.The Agriculture Minister was replying to a question raised by a member in the House today.
Sh. Rana informed that new mandis are established as per the Mandi Policy of the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board. As per this policy, a sub-yard can be established on 15 to 20 acres of land. It should be at least 10 km away from the nearest mandi. The criteria of arrival of produce, income and paved road also have to be fulfilled here.
Village Kund is 25 kms from the main yard, Rewari and 36 kms from the sub yard, Bawal. Notification regarding declaring village Kund as sub yard under Market Committee, Rewari has already been issued by the Government under letter No. 3727-AGR (II)-4-71/11380 dated 27.08.1971.
