Omar’s vision steers J&K to peace, development: Sajjad

Saying the vision of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is unfolding in a positive grandeur in Jammu and Kashmir, National Conference candidate from Banihal Sajjad Shaheen on Thursday exuding confidence about the State achieving pinnacles o development in years to come. “Peace has already dawned, development has got new impetus and the will of people is finding due recognition in terms of launching new schemes in all the three regions of the State”, Mr Shaheen said while addressing a huge rally held to welcome Congress Sarpanch Dr Tirath Singh and several Panches in National Conference fold at Ukhral.

Shaheen said that a realisation has dawned on the people to have a stable government which can address to the multifarious problems effectively and single-mindedly. “This fact has limited the choice of people to vote and support National Conference that has proven its credentials in most testing times of the history”, he maintained.Sajjad said mandate to National Conference is imperative for taking bold decisions with regard to development and implementation of various welfare programmes. He said Omar led government has laid a strong edifice of development which is needed to be taken forward for deriving optimum results at the grass roots level.

Spelling out in detail progress registered in different sectors of development, Shaheen said such a massive effort has never ever been undertaken in all the three regions of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and their sub-regions.Referring to the revolutionary measures like Public Services Guarantee and Right to Information Acts, Mr Shahenn aid these are essentially aimed at making the government accountable, administration responsive and people empowered to ask questions. He said the Chief Minister believes in transparency, as a result of which these historic measures have been initiated. Sheen exhorted the people to strengthen hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for steering the State to a new era of peace, progress and development. (KNS)
