Malik remains in police custody, Bakhshi under house arrest: JKLF

Malik pays tributes to JKLF martyrs Syed Irfan-ul-Hassan Mohammad Maqbool Malik

Chairman Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik who was arrested by police on 31st July in a nocturnal raid still remains in police custody. Police and forces cordoned the residence of front Chairman during the intervening night of 31st July and 1st august, arrested him and shifted to police station Kothi Bagh where he is still lodged.According to a statement issued to KNS, JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi also remains to be placed under house arrest by police at his residence Bemina. A JKLF spokesman while strongly condemning the arrest and continued detention of Yasin   spree of arrests ,raids  and other oppressive measures has termed it as mere frustration of rulers and height of their undemocratic behaviors.

Meanwhile, detained chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik has paid rich tributes to great JKLF martyrs Syed Irfan ul Hassan shah and Mohammad Maqbool Malik on their martyrdom anniversaries. While remembering these two great sons of the soil, Yasin Malik said that Irfan ul Hassan Shaheed strived for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir from his early childhood while as Mohammad Maqbool sacrificed his youth and Senescence for the sacred cause. Yasin  said that no Kashmiri can ever forget the sacrifices rendered by these great martyrs. Yasin Malik while praying for the heavenly abode and Sublimity expressed solidarity with their families and pledged to take their struggle to its desired goal. (KNS)
