Gold Medalist Suresh Chand calls on Chief Minister

Naib Subedar Shri Suresh Chand of 10 Para (Special Force) called on Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh here, today. He apprised the Chief Minister that he won Gold Medal in 10,000 meters and Silver Medal in 5,000 meters and in Steeplechase in National Master Athletics Championship-2013 held from 27th June to 2nd July, 2013 at Bangluru. He had been selected for “XX World Masters Athletics Championship” to be held at Port Alagre, Brazil from 15th October to 27th October, 2013.He urged the Chief Minister for financial assistance of Rs. three lakh from the State Government to meet out the expenditure of boarding, lodging and travelling.  Shri Virbhadra Singh assured that Government would consider on providing all possible help to him Naib Sub. Shri Suresh Chand is resident of village Dhanarashi of Sarkaghat Tehsil in Mandi district.
