Capt Amarinder condoles labourers’ death; expresses sympathies with bereaved families

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today expressed shock and grief over the death of some labourers and injuries to many others in a building collapse in Jallandhar last night. He urged the government to provide adequate compensation to the bereaved families besides arranging for the free medical treatment to the injured. In a condolence message, he said, it was quite sad and unfortunate that precious lives were lost in the building collapse. Praying for the early and speedy recovery of those injured, he hoped those trapped in the debris come out safe.

The PCC President conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and told them the party stood by them at this hour of sorrow and grief. He has deputed a team of the local Congress leaders to visit the accident site to supervise the rescue operations.
