Story And Screenplay - Amar Singh Chamkila Review 

The story of the highest record selling artist of Punjab Amar Singh Chamkila who as a kid observed the harsh realities of society and depicted the same in his songs as he matured. The songs did connect deeply with the masses for their raw honesty but they were often deemed controversial and unfit for public performance. The film portrays his meeting with Amarjoit Kaur, their journey of becoming legends and how they managed to sustain in society with the backlash and what happened to be the actual reason for his death is revealed in this film. 

The screenplay of the film was the best part of the film  seamlessly guiding viewers through an emotional journey. The skillful transitions between scenes and the unexpected connections between various elements in the leaves lasting impact. 

Acting

As Imtiaz Ali Said in many interviews Amar Singh Chamkila would not have been possible without modern generation star Diljit Dosanjh and its pinpoint perfection. Diljit Dosanjh has just lived the character of legendary singer Amar Singh Chamkila. The highest arena selling modern day artist has just portrayed the perfect version of the highest record selling artist of that era. 

Parineeti Chopra as Amarjot Kaur was decent. She did her best in the singing part but at points she could not help herself as the songs were not suited for her but she did manage to leave an impact surely at some points with her vocals. 

Anurag Arora's portrayal of the police officer was another highlight of the film. His commanding presence on screen effectively conveyed the character's emotions to the audiences. 

Anjum Batra, Samuel John, Nisha Bano, and the entire ensemble cast delivered stellar performances, seamlessly bringing their characters to life and contributing their best to the film. 

Writer And Director 

Writer Imtiaz Ali And Sajid Ali have researched each and every perfect as deeply as they could. Punjabi film Jodi which was also inspired from Amar Singh Chamkila is 10% of the real facts and truth shown in this biopic made by Imtiaz Ali.

Director Imtiaz Ali will be known for making the best musical films in Indian cinema. He has created an unforgettable experience for chamkila lovers. His vision for the film could not have been visualised by any other director or filmmaker. Full marks to his execution. 

Music 

AR Rahman's Mastery Shines in Crafting this Musical Gem, Honoring Chamkila's Originality with Utmost Precision. A special mention to the additon of hindi songs in the film which enhances the visualising experience.
