Vobble’s Pitch

The Vobble team, led by passionate entrepreneurs, presented their concept: an app offering a curated library of high-quality audio content for kids. This included stories, music, and educational shows, all designed to be engaging and spark a child's imagination. Vobble emphasized its focus on reducing screen time, a growing concern for parents while promoting healthy cognitive development through audio-based experiences.

The Ask: Funding for Growth

Vobble came to the Sharks with a specific request. They sought an investment of 25 lakh rupees in exchange for a 1.5% equity stake in their company. This funding would be crucial for expanding their content library, enhancing the app's features, and scaling their marketing efforts to reach a wider audience of parents and children.

The Sharks Reactions

The Sharks, a panel of seasoned investors, were intrigued by Vobble's concept. The high-quality content and focus on screen-free learning resonated with some. Namita Thapar, CEO of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, particularly liked the app's design, while Vineeta Singh, co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics, commended the quality of the audio content.

Sharks Negotiation With Vobble

However, the initial offer of 1.5% equity for a 25 lakh investment raised concerns. Some Sharks felt the valuation was high for Vobble's current stage. An interesting twist came when Vobble proposed a convertible note instead of straight equity. This financial instrument would convert to equity at a later stage, allowing for more flexibility in valuation.

Namita Thapar Get The Deal

After some negotiation, Namita Thapar emerged as the lone Shark to make a concrete offer. Recognizing Vobble's potential, she proposed a deal that included an investment exceeding the requested amount. After this, one by one all the sharks gave their opinion on this business and finally, after some discussion with the owners of Wobble, Namita Thapar made this deal for Rs 25 lakh at the rate of 2% equity.

Conclusion

Vobble's appearance on Shark Tank India Season 3 served as a springboard for the company. The national exposure and Namita Thapar's investment will undoubtedly provide a significant boost. Vobble's future looks bright as it continues to captivate young minds with the magic of audio storytelling and learning.
