Home Minister Anil Vij today directed the concerned officers while watching the art work of the museum for the Shaheed Smarak, which is constructed in Ambala Cantonment, stating that it should be such that everyone, upon seeing it, is transported to the year 1857, experiencing the scenes of the first battle for freedom.

Sh. Vij was watching the presentation of art work of the museum in the under-construction Shaheed Smarak dedicated to the first battle for freedom in 1857 on GT Road in Ambala Cantonment today. Home Minister Anil Vij said that the museum is an integral part of the Shaheed Smarak, and through this presentation, people should get information about what the scenes of the battle in Ambala, Haryana, and the country were in 1857.

He said that how the flame of freedom rose in Ambala, then reached other army cantonments and places in the country, will be displayed here through various techniques. He instructed the officials that the information displayed here should align completely with the pages of history.

He said that a committee of historians has also been formed for the construction of the Shaheed Smarak, and the agency and committee should decide what history should be displayed here after discussing it.Home Minister Anil Vij said that information about which regiments were present in Ambala first, how the infantry in Ambala first took up arms and came out of the barracks, should be present in the museum.

In addition, the military history in Ambala should also be displayed here, showing which regiment was the first in the military camp. Besides, the Home Minister discussed various aspects with the representatives of the agency working on the art work.

The Home Minister was given detailed information about the art work

Before this, representatives of the agency and officials of the PWD department gave Home Minister Anil Vij complete information about the art work in the museum. They provided information about the history displayed here through various media.

They explained that through screens, audio, and various other media, history will be presented in a modern and interesting manner. In addition to the main hall, representatives of the agency gave information about the museum gallery, audio-visual hall, lobby, and other information to Home Minister Anil Vij. During this presentation, the Home Minister also gave suggestions for improvement.

Home Minister Anil Vij also inspected the Shaheed Smarak on this occasion. He inquired about the construction work of the 150 feet high memorial tower being constructed here. Officials informed that the final sheet coating work on the memorial tower has been started, which will be completed soon. In addition to this, he also inspected the entrance hall, parking area, water bodies, and other parts of the Smarak and gave directions to officials to expedite the work.

The memorial will be the center of attraction

It is noteworthy that with the relentless efforts of Home Minister Anil Vij, a Shaheed Smarak is being constructed on GT Road in Ambala Cantonment at a cost of nearly 500 crore rupees. Interpretation Center: The center will have a VIP room, shops, play area for children, reception, toilet block, court yard, VIP meeting hall, conference hall, dining hall.

Two-storey museum: The museum gallery, audio-visual hall, lobby, office area, Shaheedi wall VIP entrance will be there.

Open-air theater: The theater for seating 2 thousand people, exhibition hall, food court, toilet block, rehearsal room, filtration room, and other facilities.

Auditorium building: In addition to the auditorium, there will be a coffee shop, food court, seating area, lobby, court yard, library, e-library.

Water bodies: The water bodies will have various types of fountains, water screen, connecting bridge, and other facilities.

Memorial tower: More than 150 feet high memorial tower, art gallery, water body, high-speed lift, and others.

Underground parking: There will be underground double basement parking facility for vehicle parking in the memorial. Apart from 400 cars, 20 buses can also be parked here. In addition, 10 quarters will also be built here for the staff.

Other facilities: The Shaheed Smarak will have an information center and shops, security room, ticket counter. In addition, there will also be a helipad for the arrival and departure of VIPs.
