DC Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav chairs DLRC/DLRAC meeting

Asks Banks, Agencies to reach out to public in far flung areas

The District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DLRAC/DCC) meeting was today chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav, here in the DC Office Complex. The purpose was to assess the performance of banks and other financial institutions.

The DLRC Chairman (DC Kishtwar) advised banks to extend Kisan Credit Cards (KCC) to all PM Kisan beneficiaries. Additionally, he advised banks and sponsoring agencies to support and guide innovative entrepreneurs, providing them with all  assistance to establish their business ventures.The sponsoring departments were asked to rigorously follow up with the borrowers who have defaulted after availing loans from banks to ensure timely repayment. 

This will  act as a confidence building measure for the Banks.Meanwhile, the DC launched PLP 2024-25 prepared by NABARD and approved Annual credit plan for 2024-25 formulated by LDM after deliberations envisaging a target of Rs. 369 crore for FY 2024-25 under priority sector against the overall target of Rs. 418.33 crore.

During the DLRC meeting, the Chairman emphasized the importance of reaching out to the maximum number of people and advised RSETI Kishtwar to offer market-oriented training to budding entrepreneurs aligned with local requirements. He further asked the institution to credit link more and more skilled professionals. 

The Chairman directed ITI to follow the model of RSETI and credit link more and more trained candidates.The meeting also involved a review of the progress made by RSETI and congratulated them for credit linking 149 candidates during the current FY.

The meeting was attended by ACD/GM DIC, Phulail Singh, AD Employment Shafqat Keen, LDM Pankaj Badani, Nikhil Sharma DDM NABARD, Vikas Sindhu, Director RSETI, District and Sectoral officers, representatives from Banks.
