Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that Jan-Aushadhi Kendra will be established in all Civil Hospitals of the state, and discussions are underway with the central government regarding this matter. Pharmacists will also be appointed in these Jan-Aushadhi Kendra.Sh. Vij was responding to a question during the budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.

He informed that currently, there are approximately 171 centres holding retail drug licenses covering all 22 districts of the state. Five centres are operational in government hospitals/medical colleges. Health committees have been authorized to work in each district, of which 5 Jan-Aushadhi Kendra have started operating in hospitals of Karnal, Bhiwani, Rewari, Gurugram, and Yamunanagar districts.

Sh. Vij said that CT scan/MRI scan services have been initiated under the PPP mode in various health institutions of the state, and currently, CT scan services are operational in 17 districts except for Jhajjar and Charkhi Dadri, for which tenders have been issued. 

MRI services are available in 5 districts - Ambala, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Gurugram, and Panchkula, and tenders have already been issued for 6 districts - Kurukshetra, Panipat, Bahadurgarh (Jhajjar), Palwal, Charkhi Dadri, and Yamunanagar and are under process.

The Health Minister said that funds have been released for 162 PHCs/CHCs for infrastructure, and under this, CHCs in Charkhi Dadri will be prepared in the first phase, and the reconstruction of all 29 sub-health centres will be completed in the next financial year. 

Apart from this, it is expected that the work of providing medicines at affordable rates in Dadri city hospital will be completed in the next financial year. He informed that the tendering process is underway to provide CT scan and MRI scan facilities through the PPP mode, and there is a possibility that it will be finalized in the next financial year."
