RBU students visit bread making unit

The Department of Life Sciences of Rayat Bahra University organised a visit of the students to Kitty Industries Private Limited, manufacturers of Kitty bread, Ludhiana. Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh said that industrial visits are an essential component of the programs offered at Rayat Bahra University to enhance the understanding of actual processes being carried out in the industries.

Dr Simerjit Kaur, Dean Students Welfare, said that during this visit the students observed the intricate process of bread manufacturing. The production line showcased precision in ingredient measurement, mixing, moulding, proofing, baking till packaging.

Additionally, discussions with industry experts such as Meeya Ahmad Lukman, Plant Manager, Akash Kumar, Safety Leader, provided insights on market strategies, safety and hygiene measures taken by the baking industries.Harish, Quality Executive, briefed the students about the different quality parameters of bread and packaging material. 

Kitty Breads showcased a commitment to quality with rigorous quality control measures in place. Dr Harinderjit Kaur and Satnam Singh, who coordinated the industrial visit, said it was a great learning experience for the students.
