Ganderbal's District Level Committee (DLC), led by Deputy Commissioner Shyambir, made significant progress in land management and planning during their latest session held in the VC Room of the Mini Secretariat Complex. The meeting, aimed at evaluating proposals for Change of Land Use (CLU), saw the committee meticulously review 13 cases based on detailed feedback from various departments.

Out of these, seven proposals received the green light for CLU, marking a forward step in the district's planned development initiatives. However, two cases were rejected due to non-compliance or other issues, while four were deferred, requiring additional information for future consideration.

DC Shyambir emphasized the importance of efficiency and collaboration among departments to ensure that land use changes contribute positively to the district's development. He called for expedited submission of necessary comments and No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the cases still under review, aiming to streamline the approval process.

The session also covered the status of building permissions in rural segments of Ganderbal, with specific instructions issued to expedite the review of pending applications, ensuring they align with current rules and community needs.

The meeting underscored the commitment of Ganderbal's administration to fostering a well-planned and sustainable development environment. Attendees included key district officials like the Additional Deputy Commissioner Gulzar Ahmad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, and representatives from various departments integral to the land use change process.
