Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Engages in Direct Dialogue with Citizens, Prioritizes Quick Redressal of Grievances

In an effort to enhance transparency and address public grievances effectively, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha conducted a virtual interaction with citizens during the "LG’s Mulaqaat- Live Public Grievance Hearing" in Jammu.
During the session, Shri Sinha directed concerned officials to take swift action on the complaints in a time-bound manner, emphasizing the importance of greater transparency in the process. Several citizens expressed their appreciation for the Lt Governor's prompt resolution of their issues.
Shri Manoj Sinha underscored the need for officers to act as professional service providers when handling complaints and grievances. He emphasized the importance of keeping citizens informed about the actions taken, maintaining accountability standards, and continually striving for improvement in public service delivery.
Throughout the session, Lt Governor addressed grievances filed on JKIGRAMS by individuals from various regions, including Ramban, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda, Budgam, and Anantnag. The issues pertained to departments such as Power Development, Jal Shakti, Labour, and Social Welfare.
Highlighting the significance of mutual understanding, Lt Governor directed officials to formulate a comprehensive strategy for the maintenance of essential infrastructure, including borewells, handpumps, and power distribution lines. Additionally, he emphasized the saturation of scholarships and pension schemes. Lt Governor emphasized that listening to one another is a fundamental pillar of good governance.
The Lt Governor expressed appreciation for the exemplary participation of citizens and officials in the 75th Republic Day celebrations. Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, Secretary, Public Grievances, facilitated the proceedings of the LG’s Mulaqaat.
Key officials, including Chief Secretary Sh Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary Sh R K Goyal, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, SSPs, HoDs, and other senior officers, actively participated in the interaction, either in person or through virtual mode. The event demonstrated the commitment of the administration to engage with citizens directly and ensure responsive governance.
