Geelani  said that the ‘four point formula’ of Musharaf  was betrayal and treason with the Kashmir cause in front of him and he was fully agree with my stand regarding this which he openly expressed. Deceased was considering the freedom of Kashmir as vital for the completion of ideological Pakistan and he was of the view that the geographical boundaries of Pakistan are not safe till its ideological  boundaries are not made strong and firm.  Geelani  also appealed the Immams of the Masjids to pray for peace to the soul of Nizami . Meanwhile expressing his deep grief and sorrow over the death of  Mufti Nizam-ud-din  of Bomi Sopore, Geelani  prayed for peace to the departed soul and said that beside expressing his condolence with the bereaved family, he also express his sympathy with them.

While condemning the police violence in Tulmulla Ganderbal and thrashing of Immam of the Masjid, chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Sayed Ali Geelani demanded impartial investigation into the incident. He said that if police have really entered the Masjid and beat-up the Immam  and people present there, then it is a serious issue and the responsible persons should be given stern punishment. In a statement issued to press, Geelani  said that if the people have protested against any immoral practice then they should be encouraged for this and it is their religious as well as moral responsibility. If police would have been having conscience, they too would have supported and encouraged the protesters because to act against these types of crimes is the professional duty of police. The pro-freedom leader said that our activists are investigating this incident and we are closely observing that how will the police deal with this. Meanwhile demanding the immediate release of the 17 youth who are detained in Qaimo police station, Geelani said that people protested against the killing of a student of the area and it was the natural reaction which is expected after such an incident occurs, but the police doesn’t allow the people to mourn on the dead bodies and it is becoming a dangerous trend here. With such a treatment, youth get aggravated and they are feeling isolated.

Geelani  said that in the police violence after the Qaimo killing, about 29 youths have got severe injuries and lakhs of rupees have been spent on the treatment of an injured youth Amir Ahmad who is still undergoing treatment in SKIMS Soura Srinagar. While demanding the release of all the youth who are detained in police stations before the Eid, Geelani  said that Omer Abdullah government have broken all the previous records of mismanagement and his regime is  proving to be the darkest period in the history of Kashmir.
