Rotary Club Mohali Midtown Joins hand with District Administration to strengthen Anaganwaris Infrastructure

In a worth emulating gesture, the Rotary Club Mohali Midtown, joined hands with District Administration to strengthen Anganwari Infrastructure in order to acknowledge the commendable work of the Punjab Government to overcome the malnutrition among the 0-6 years’ children. To begin with,  the club handed  over 20 kits of essential items like chairs, food serving plates, glasses, water dispenser besides a big utensil for cooking. 

The Club also committed to provide 500 more such kits for rest of the Anganwaris by next three years. Deputy Commissioner, Mrs Aashika Jain while expressing gratitude towards  Rotary Club Mohali Midtown, district 3080, acknowledged the long lasting partnership of the club with administration since tough times like COVID and floods etc. 

She said that since her childhood, she remained associated with these institutions by participating in competitive and charitable activities and knows the honesty, sincerity and dedication of the members associated with club. She said that as the welfare always remains the topmost agenda of the Governments, so the work of these institutions who are working for the society in a one and another way.

She said that as the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government is committed to overcome the malnutrition among the 0-6 years age group of every child. As the tender age is critical and needs supplement food nutritions, we in Mohali are quite sincere for health of future generation and have started kitchen gardens in Schools as well as Anganwaris where space is available for growing green vegetables. 

Supplement Nutrition, Jaggery and Mid-day-Meal are being given to curb Anemia and other deficiencies. She thanked the Rotary Club Mohali Midtown for carrying forward the legacy of human service. The office-bearers of the club including District Governor Ravi Parkash, President Amarjit Singh, Director Community Service Harjeet Singh assured the Deputy Commissioner of fulsome support for these social causes with utmost sincerity and dedication in future too. District Programme Officer Gagandeep Singh and District Development and Panchayat Officer, Amaninder Pal Singh Chauhan were also present in the function held at Zila Parishad, SAS Nagar (Mohali) Complex.
