Anil Vij Highlights Two-Decade Struggle for Shaheed Smarak, Commences Construction as Government Takes Charge

Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that he fought a prolonged battle for twenty years to build a Shaheed Smarak dedicated to the martyrs of the first war of independence in 1857. As soon as our government came into power, the construction of the Shaheed Smarak in Ambala was initiated. 

While the previous governments did not allocate funds up to five crores for the development of Ambala Cantonment, we have approved a project worth 500 crores for the construction of the Shaheed Smarak. Sh. Vij addressed the people during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program organized in Topkhana Bazaar and Parade Ground in Ambala today. 

He mentioned that the vehicle with the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is touring the area, facilitating the issuance of Ayushman cards, and enrolling people for pensions. Sh. Vij emphasized the various developmental programs being implemented in the region and stated that transparently provided beneficial schemes by the central and state governments are being actively utilized. He expressed confidence that India will be included in the list of developed nations when it celebrates 100 years of independence.

Fought for the country's independence 28 years before Congress inception – Vij

Home Minister Anil Vij mentioned that the contribution of Congress to the country's independence was taught after the country gained freedom. However, the Congress was established in 1885, while the fight for independence had already begun in 1857. He highlighted the sacrifices of numerous heroes, including Rani Lakshmibai, Tantya Tope, Mangal Pandey, and others during the first war of independence.

The best facilities have been provided in Ambala Cantonment – Vij

Home Minister Anil Vij mentioned that excellent facilities have been provided for the residents of Ambala Cantonment, including the Civil Hospital, which is the best hospital in Northern India. The hospital sees more than 3000 patients daily and offers various medical services. He also highlighted the construction of Subhash Park, the International-level football stadium, All-Weather Swimming Pool, Gymnastics Hall, Mini-Secretariat, hostels, and other infrastructure projects. The construction of a domestic airport is also progressing rapidly.

The dream of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya has come true – Vij

Home Minister stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the grand temple of Lord Shri Ram is being constructed in Ayodhya, and a consecration ceremony will be held on January 22. He expressed that people across India have faith in Lord Shri Ram, and the dream of constructing the Ram Temple has been fulfilled. He commended Prime Minister Modi for bringing peace to Kashmir and successfully organizing the G-20 summit.

Before this, former councilor Rajkumar Raja welcomed Home Minister Anil Vij on behalf of the residents and expressed gratitude for the development work in the Cantt Board area and Tundla. Several dignitaries and local leaders were present during the event.

There would be no corruption in the country if Congress did not rule in the beginning – Vij

During interaction with the media persons, Home Minister Anil Vij mentioned that after independence, the Congress party, which took charge of governing the country, nurtured corruption. He stated that this country belongs to sages and saints, and corruption would not have existed if Congress had not ruled in the beginning. It may be noted that recent allegations of corruption made by Rahul Gandhi against the Assam government and BJP.
