DC Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat reviews Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in Polling Stations

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat today convened a comprehensive meeting to meticulously assess the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in Polling Stations across the district.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner diligently examined the status of essential facilities such as drinking water, sanitation facilities, electricity connections and ramps for accessibility in the various polling stations throughout the district.

Dy DEO Babu Ram Tandan informed that there are 680 polling stations in different locations in district Rajouri. Essential infrastructure like drinking water, sanitation facilities, electricity connections, and ramps are crucial for ensuring accessible and efficient polling stations, promoting inclusivity in the democratic process.

Emphasizing the significance of these facilities in ensuring a smooth and accessible electoral process, the DC directed all officers involved to ensure the availability and functionality of these essential services at every polling station. This directive is aimed at creating an environment that fosters easy and efficient participation of voters in the democratic process.

DC underscored the importance of maintaining the highest standards in electoral infrastructure to uphold the integrity of the electoral process. He stressed that these Assured Minimum Facilities are not just conveniences but vital components that contribute to the fairness and accessibility of the electoral system.
