CGC Jhanjeri Celebrated Army Day with a view to honour & pay tributes to the brave Indian Army

Chandigarh Group of Colleges celebrated Army Day with great enthusiasm with a view to honour & pay tributes to the brave Indian Army. All the NCC cadets assisted by other students presented a variety of items full of patriotism and homage to martyrs of India. 

The programme included Solo Songs, Group Songs, Bhangra, Solo Dances, Group Dances, patriotic poems and many other inspiring items. Through a powerpoint presentation, the real working of Indian Armed Forces was displayed before the audience. 

The skit was prepared by the students to highlight the supreme sacrifice of Indian soldiers brought tears in the eyes of the audience. M D Arsh Dhaliwal said that the soldiers lead an extremely hard life in very difficult conditions. The main motivating force behind them is the love and support of the people. 

He added that the army personnel may not become rich in money but they are rich in character.  Campus Director Dr. Neeraj Sharma advised the student that each one of them can work as a soldier even in civil life, if he works in a disciplined manner and possesses a sense of belonging to the nation.

Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC congratulated all the NCC cadets for their unique idea of celebrating Army Day in the college. President Dhaliwal said that during his entire life, he has been of the opinion that they are soldiers first & officers afterward. He motivated that only youngsters have power to change India.
