CGC Jhanjeri Celebrates Lohri

Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri celebrated Lohri, was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC was the Chief Guest at This occasion. The function started with the lighting of Lohri   amidst singing of “Sunder Munderiye, Ho”. 

The students were briefed the history and background of this festival, marking peak of winters. A number of lively cultural items like folk songs, solo dances, duet dances, Shayri, solo singing etc. were presented by the students. Giddha & Bhangra presented by the girls & boys respectively made the entire audience dance with the artists. 

Managing Director, Mr. Arsh Dhaliwal, spoke to the gathering, motivating students and extending warm wishes for a joyful Lohri. The festivities included the distribution of jackets and goodies amongst the underprivileged children.

Later, Campus Director, Dr. Neeraj Sharma highlighted the significance of the festival and advised students to take active part in extracurricular activities & sports so that their overall personality gets developed. Speaking on the occasion, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC congratulated all the students & staff for the bright beginning of the session.
