Backlog process for divyang persons should be completed as soon as possible: Dr. Baljit Kaur

Social Security Minister holds meeting with Employment Generation and Training Department, Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board and departmental officials

The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann,   which is committed to uplifting the living standards of the divyang persons in the state. As part of this commitment, today Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister, Dr. Baljit Kaur, conducted a meeting in her office at the Civil Secretariat to discuss the prompt completion of the backlog process for disabled individuals.

During the meeting, discussions were held with Amrit Singh Director of Employment Generation and Training, Amarbir Kaur Bhullar Secretary of Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board, and officials of the Social Security Department to expedite the filling of the backlog positions for disabled persons.

Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur further said that the Punjab Government is earnestly working to fill the backlog of positions reserved for the disabled in various departments. The minister stated the Employment Generation and Training Department to organize a camp for filling these posts and to provide information according to the proforma so that this work can be expedited.

Dr. Baljit Kaur instructed the officials to complete this process as soon as possible to ensure that no divyang person is deprived of a job due to exceeding the age limit. During this meeting, the Director of the Employment Generation and Training Department and the Secretary of the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board provided information about the actions being taken to fill the backlog posts for the divyang.

On this occasion, Director of Social Security, Women and Child Development Department, Shena Aggarwal, Special Secretary Vimmi Bhullar, Deputy Director Sukhdeep Jhaj, and Amarjit Singh Bhullar were specially present.
