Previously HBO has released the first trailer for House of the Dragon, which is returning for a second season. The video, which made its debut at this year's Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) in Brazil, shows a broken Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) getting ready for the much-anticipated Dance of the Dragons, a family civil war that would determine who would take the Iron Throne and shape the Seven Kingdoms' history. Trailers That Reveals The Story of the Upcoming Season 2

The teaser reveals how rival Rhaenyra Targaryen and Alicent Hightower prepare their armies for battle after the horrific events of the first season. Rhaenyra declares, "There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin," but her aunt Rhaenys corrects her, saying, "No war so bloody as a war between dragons." Daemon is getting ready as the carnage goes on and dragons howl through the heavens in a fury.

What happened in season 1 of House of Dragon?

Aemond Targaryen draws first blood in season 1, episode 10, killing Rhaenyra's son Lucerys Velaryon and ultimately initiating the Dance. One of the major events that will contribute to the fall of the 300-year dynasty and the lack of dragons that is evident at the beginning of Game of Thrones is the civil war, which puts dragon against dragon and Targaryen against Targaryen.

With the first season attracting over 10 million viewers on Max, previously HBO Max, the pilot episode garnered eight Emmy nominations, including Best Drama Series. For upcoming seasons of the program, GRRM and director Alan Taylor will collaborate closely with Condal, the series creator.

Cast Details of House of Dragon Season 1 & 2

Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans are among the ensemble cast members of the program.

Along with co-creator Ryan Condal, Miguel Sapochnik, a veteran of Game of Thrones, served as the showrunner for the first season of House of the Dragons. Condal will take over as the showrunner for the second season, with Sapochnik remaining the show's executive producer. Another seasoned Game of Thrones veteran, Alan Taylor, will also be joining the program as an executive producer and director for the second season.
