Public involvement in Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra is commitment to make India developed nation- Som Parkash

Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Sh. Som Parkash said that the present pace with which India is moving ahead in every sector, the Nation would become Viksit Bharat even before 2047.

Addressing the gathering at Village Ajram in Hoshiarpur district, where the Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra Van has reached today, he said that the way people are connecting with this Sankalp Yatra that shows their commitment to make India a developed Nation. 

The Viksit Bharat Sankalap Yatra (VBSY) is presently moving in many districts of Punjab including Hoshiarpur, under which Vans comprising information material, videos etc are making people aware of various central government schemes through which eligibles can take various benefits at their doorstep.

The Minister was here at the village to be part of the Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi's interaction with beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,  in some parts of the country, showcased through web casting in the village by National Informatics Centre, Hoshiarpur. Hundreds of people gathered here listened to the Prime Minister along with the Minister.

He said that it has been the constant endeavour of the Prime Minister to ensure that benefits of the central government schemes reach till the last person eligible. He also talked about various initiatives taken by the centre benefitting each and every countrymen.

Later, he handed over Ayushman Cards to some of the beneficiaries on the spot. One of the women beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (Gramin) expressed her happiness for being able to build her house with financial help under this scheme. He also watched the Drone flying and eagerly listened that how Drones would help farmers in agriculture activities. 

Government of India is promoting use of Drone in agriculture under its new scheme. The Prime Minister today aunched Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra. It will provide drones to women Self Help Groups (SHGs) so that this technology can be used by them for livelihood assistance. 15,000 drones will be provided to women SHGs in the course of the next three years. Women will also be provided necessary training to fly and use drones. The initiative will encourage the use of technology in agriculture.
