Rehab India Foundation conducted Talent Search Examination for Class X students in Murshidabad, West Bengal

Over 200 students, from class X, in Murshidabad district of West Bengal appeared in the Rehab Nation Talent Search Examination 2014 on Sunday, July 20, at Al Falah Mission English School in Berhampore. The applications were invited from the top rank students in Class X from different schools located in the different blocks of Murshidabad district. Rehab India Foundation is one the national level NGO, runs various community development projects throughout the country since 2008. Rehab has started its activities from the first beginning of its establishment in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. Rehab’s activities mainly focused on Community development programmes with planned projects in the field of education, health and economic development, etc. Rehab has already adopted 10 villages in Murshidabad districts. Rehab is actively involving the education promotional activities since the last three years. It initiated two professional courses with near about 50 students from all over the country with full scholarship and stipend. It started one MSW scholarship program in August, 2012 and a MCJ scholarship program in the last year. 

Rehab Talent Search Programme is one of the new initiative and a national-level scholarship program to identify and recognize students with very high intellect and academic talent. Close to 300 students are going to be benefitted in this scholarship program every year. The project is implemented in three places Delhi, Murshidabad and Kolkata.  The scheme is open to students who are studying in class X and are eligible to appear for the selection process. The students will be selected by screening test and activity oriented programmes. The selected students get the scholarship and services of Educational counselling; academic advisement; study skills, career exploration, etc.The program was started with the welcome address by Mr. Syed Anwar, Coordinator, Rehab MCJ scholarship programme.  Mr.Najmul Haq, Asst.project manager, Murshidabad explained about the projects of Rehab in various fields in the district. 

Mr. Muhammed Jabir, Coordinator, Rehab Talent Search Programme explained about the features of the programme.  Mr. Hakeekul Islam, excecutive of local NGO and Mr. Sawkath, Field Officer, Rehab were also attending during the programme. “It is a national level scholarship program, in which we give scholarship to the talented students from minority communities. Rehab will conduct the talent search examination every year and students from minority communities will be motivated to make brighter future in the field of service sector especially judiciary, executive and legislation for the development of the community. The top rankers in the exam will be guided and given scholarship for national level competitive examination such as civil service examination”- said Muhammed Jabir, Programme coordinator, Rehab Talent Search Programme.
