Motorcyclist died in road accident at Drabshallah; Saroori expressed grief

Expressing grief and sorrow over the sad demise of one person in a tragic road accident that occurred on Kishtwar-Drabshallah road yesterday, Senior Congress Leader and MLA Inderwal, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori has demanded deployment of more SRTC buses in the hilly districts of Doda and Kishtwar.“The mishap occurred when motorcycle was hit by a Tata Sumo bearing registration no. JK06-2153 in which 24 year old motorcyclist identified as Mohammad Umar Najjar son Mohammad Ali Najjar resident of Drabshallah Kishtwar died.After receiving injury, the local people present on spot first shifted him to Thathri hospital from where doctors referred him to District Hospital Doda, but before reaching to Doda hospital, Umar succumbed to his injuries. Police has registered an FIR and started its investigation.Saroori conveyed his heart felt sympathies and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul beside a place for him in heaven. He (Saroori) impressed upon the district administration to extend full support to the bereaved family at this time of grief. He also appealed to the Chief Minister J&K for extending financial support to the family of Ali Najjar.

He also demanded deployment of more SRTC buses in the hilly districts of Doda and Kishtwar especially for Bhatyas, Khara, Bunjwah, Phigsoo, Sarthal, Saroor, Chingam, Chatroo, Sigdi, Thakrie, Keshwan and other areas besides undertaking strict checking of the vehicles plying on these roads besides imposing ban on use of mobile phones by the drivers.Saroori regretted that such accidents have become a routine affair but no concrete action has been taken so far by the government to save precious human lives. He also demanded to take effective steps in checking frequent accidents adding that the government should direct Traffic Police to keep a strict check on overloading and plying of old model buses, Sumo due to which road mishaps have become a routine affair.

Meanwhile Congress leaders including Asgar Khangi, Sarfraz Khan, Mohd Iqbal Keen, Mohd Iqbal Teli, Akhtar Tatani, Nek Alam, Zubair Ahmed Najjar, Mohd Ashraf Mattoo, Haji Iqbal Zargar, Haji Shafi, Mir Ali, Babu Ram, Bashir Ahmed and others also visited the residence of Mohammad Ali Najjar to condole the demise of his son Mohammad Umar Najjar. They prayed to Almighty Allah to give strength to the family members of the deceased to bear irreparable loss.
