Cabinet Minister Laljeet Singh Bhullar pays rich tribute to freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai

The function on the 95th martyrdom of Punjab Kesri Lala Lajpat Rai was organised at his birthplace village Dhudike today. Mr Laljeet Singh Bhullar, cabinet minister for Transport and Panchayats departments attended the function as chief guest.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, Mr Bhullar said that were very proud of our elders that all the struggles for independence started from the land of Punjab.  Freedom fighters like Lala Lajpat Rai sacrificed their lives in the freedom struggle without caring about their own lives. 

Which is a great source of inspiration for all of us. We learn from this that we should always be ready to serve our country.Before this, all attendees offered flowers to the statue of Lala Lajpat Rai and remembered his sacrifice.  On this occasion, he also visited the library and other historical places related to the great martyrs who belonged to this village. Lala Lajpat Rai Birthplace Memorial Committee also honoured the prominent personalities.  

On this occasion, Mr Bhullar announced to give 5 lakh rupees from his discretionary account for the development of village Dhudike. Mr Manjit Singh Bilaspur MLA Nihal Singh Wala, SDM Mr Sarangpreet Singh Aujla, Mr Deepak Arora chairman Improvement Trust Moga, Mr Navjot Singh Jarg Chairman and others were also present on the occasion.
