Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya paid courtesy visits to the residence of Minister Anil Vij at Ambala

Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya received a warm welcome upon his arrival at the Ambala Cantonment residence of Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij. The Governor paid a courtesy visit to Sh. Vij and discussed various development projects underway in the region. On this occasion, Home Minister Anil Vij presented the Governor with a bouquet of flowers and a memento. 

He then briefed the Governor on the ongoing development works in the Ambala Cantonment Assembly constituency and shared insights into his political journey. Highlighting the significance of the international-level Shaheed Smarak being constructed near GT Road in Ambala Cantonment. Sh.Vij stated that this grand monument is dedicated to the unsung heroes who contributed to India's first freedom struggle in 1857. 

He said that the Smarak's construction is in its final stages, with most of the civil work completed. Tenders for artwork have been floated, and the remaining work is expected to be finished soon. This Smarak is anticipated to attract visitors from across India, he hoped.  Sh.Vij also informed the Governor about the recently laid foundation stone of the domestic airport in Ambala Cantonment. He emphasized that this airport will provide air travel facilities to the residents of Ambala Cantonment and neighboring areas.

Furthermore, Home Minister  elaborated on other development projects in Ambala Cantonment, including Netaji Subhash Park, a FIFA-approved international-level football stadium, an all-weather swimming pool, North India's best civil hospital, a bank square cum shopping mall etc. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Shaleen, Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh Randhawa, SDM Satindra Siwach, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij's brother Rajendra Vij, uncle S.D. Vij (retired Wing Commander), Mandal Pradhan Rajiv Dimple, Kiran Pal Chauhan, Bijendra Chauhan, Shubham Vij, Sanjeev Walia, Vipin Khanna, Ram Babu Yadav, Ajay Baweja, and other dignitaries were present.
