Nimrat Khaira, one of the most leading singer and actress of Punjabi cinema has finally given her fans a special reason to rejoice with the announcement of a new film which is not only close to her heart but is also her dream project. Yes, we are talking about Nimrat’s eagerly and long awaited film, the biography of Maharani Jind Kaur which is soon going to grace the silver screens with Nimrat Khaira reliving the journey while playing the lead role in and as Maharani.
Nimrat Khaira took to her Instagram handle to officially announce the biographical tale ‘Maharani Jind Kaur’ set to hit the cinema screens in 2025 while sharing the poster of the film which featured an old fort. She also revealed her excitement for the film in the caption as she said that she could not be more happier and proud to be part of this film which she labelled as her ‘dream project’. She wrote, “ਮਹਾਰਾਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਕੌਰ - in cinemas 2025 MAHARANI JIND KAUR ~ My dream role , this project is very very close to my heart ,something i couldn’t be more happy and prouder to be part of”

For the unversed, Maharani Jind Kaur was the last queen of the Sikh Province who protected the state and held the throne from 1843 to 1847. She was the youngest wife of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the founder of the Sikh Kingdom and the mother of Maharaja Duleep Singh.
