DC Komal Mittal kickstarts 'Bill Liyao, Inaam Pao' scheme, uploads bill on ‘Mera Bill’ app

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal formally kick-started  'Bill Liyao, Inaam Pao' scheme at District  Administrative Complex and uploaded a bill on the 'mera bill’ app on Friday.The scheme is aimed at enhancing the revenue, tax compliance, encouraging dealers to issue bills and consumers to obtain bills after purchase of goods .

Komal  Mittal divulging more details, said that the scheme was targeted at motivating consumers to get bills (retail invoice, cash memo, etc.) from dealers for their purchases made within the state which will in-turn force the dealers to issue the bills for their sales. 

Later, the consumers will have to upload bills of their purchases on the ‘Mera Bill’ app so that they can become eligible to participate in a computerized draw, to be held at 7th of each month under scheme. 

Exhorting the residents of Hoshiarpur to download the 'Mera Bill' app on their phones in maximum numbers to take advantage of this scheme, the Deputy Commissioner said that the bill must have a minimum value of Rs.200. 

She said that sale bills of petroleum products and liquor would not be eligible for draw. As per the scheme, 290 prizes will be given every month across the state and 10 prizes will be given in each district, she added. She said that for holding a draw, a software had been prepared by the department and information of winners will be delivered on their phones. 

She said that the payments to the winners would be directly transferred to their accounts. Prominent amongst those present on the occasion included ACST Dr. Navjot Sharma, STO Sandeep Kumar, Jagtar Singh, Parminder Kaur, Amarjeet and Lovepreet Singh.
