District & Sessions Judge, Rupnagar holds meeting to conduct National Lok Adalat on September 9

District & Sessions Judge, Rupnagar on Thursday held a meeting with all the stakeholders in concern to upcoming National Lok Adalat on September 9, 2023. Superintendent of Police (D), Rupnagar along with Additional Deputy Commissioner and other heads of the insurance companies, Bank Managers, Officials of DTO Office, District Revenue Officer, MC Authorities, SDOs of PSPCL & BSNL, Water and Sanitation department attended the meeting. 

All the stakeholders were encouraged to make optimum use of National Lok Adalat. CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Rupnagar Ms. Himanshi Galhotra, while interacting with media informed that the 3rd National Lok Adalat of the year 2023 is to be held in District Rupnagar and Sub-Divisions Sri Anandpur Sahib & Nangal on September 9. 

All types of Civil, Criminal Compoundable matters, Cheque bounce cases, bank recovery cases, traffic challans, revenue cases, consumer disputes, littering challan cases shall be taken up in the National Lok Adalat along with some pre-litigative matters.

National Lok Adalat has its benefits as there is no appeal against the decision or award of National Lok Adalat and the court fee is also refunded. She appealed to general public to make maximum benefit of National Lok Adalat.
